About

Hi, I’m Marianne Joy—and I understand the day-to-day challenges of running a small business.

I moved to South Carolina in 2022, ready to embrace the charm of Southern living… and honestly, what’s not to love about life along the Grand Strand? Not long after arriving, I found a part-time administrative role with Partnership Grand Strand, the nonprofit foundation of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. I saw the many incredible, hardworking businesses and organizations that make this community what it is.

And I should know, because I speak from experience. I have operated two small family businesses simultaneously.

From the large industries in our area like tourism and healthcare to the many small businesses that serve both residents and visitors, there’s no shortage of people doing meaningful work here. And through my time with the nonprofit—whose mission was to improve quality of life for both businesses and residents—I saw firsthand just how many small teams are stretched thin, in spite of the countless hours dedicated to running their business.

Especially businesses with five or fewer employees. When you’re focused on serving customers, it’s tough to also stay on top of all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps things running smoothly. Sometimes, you just need an extra set of hands.

That’s where I come in.

If you need short-term or ongoing support so you can focus on what matters most—your customers—I’d love to help take care of the details that often get pushed aside.

I bring extensive experience as an administrator across nonprofit, healthcare, and professional office environments. I’m detail-oriented (maybe even a bit of a nerd about it), highly organized, and I genuinely enjoy the kind of behind-the-scenes work that helps businesses stay efficient and stress-free.

Outside of work, I have served my nonprofit church organization as Fundraising Chair, Communications Chair, Web Developer/Maintenance, and currently as the Newsletter Editor. I also enjoy creative writing and photography—especially capturing the beauty of the beach, nature, and wildlife. (Sorry, I don’t do portraits!)

I’m also the granddaughter of immigrants, and I was raised with a strong work ethic that’s stayed with me throughout my life. My faith is an important part of who I am, and I bring honesty, integrity, and kindness into every client relationship.

Whether you have a short-term or long-term project in mind, call me.

If any of this sounds like what you need, take a look around and see how I can help.
